I think the greatest irony of the 1st post is that op was 15 and still a child when her parents died and her sister didn't take her in. But now that the cards are reversed, her sister wants her to take her kids in... Kids she's never even met because Op and he sister haven't talked since 4 years before they were born.

The gal that OP bullied of course would say she realized the courses she took were not for her and that animals were, she wanted OP to think she was okay about it all, whether or not she was. Apparently she was and wasn't. LOL

On the first story, op made a very good statement...where are those being so judgemental toward her. Why don't THEY adopt those kids. Who is actually being selfish? When someone doesn't want kids, they have a reason, and there are usually darn good reasons. Being forced to raise kids you don't want, is like forcing any woman, no matter what the circumstances are, to raise kids they don't want. Force this and you will basically end up with messed up kids.

My heart goes out to everyone. My Mama had cancer and took on three more kids so they weren't lost in system. My husband never wanted kids but when someone had to take on my two grandkids ? He was on board. So I see both sides. I hope you at least make sure they go somewhere safe and together. They will be losing Mom so shouldn't lose each other also. Praying for the kids.

I was bullied in school to the point of that now I have social anxiety and problem with trusting people. Line that was "She was just easy target" almost make mine blood boil. I fell disgust and hate for OP just because of that and I heard post to the end so I dont know if she is jerk but because OP was a bully I fell she is jerk.

In the bullying segment: OP proved the adoption center manager right by submitting a retaliation posting. Did she admit in it that she thought the center manager was retaliating for being bullied years earlier? I doubt it.

I am a foster mom to four now (soon to adopt) and I still completely agree with OP. It ain’t for everybody.

Is the sister going to pony up for passports, visas, the stack of legal documents and court dates, including the back and forth required to finalize the details, and the financial burden of putting the kids in private school in a foreign country, since kids who don't speak the local language aren't qualified for public school? Willingness non-withstanding, that's a bunch of financial burden to just heft off onto someone you haven't spoken to for 10 years.

Also, call off work, get a sitter, and show up at his little vacation. Rat him out to his friends and anyone else that will listen as a thief. Humiliation is definitely in order here.

Story about sister not adopting her sister's children. A few things from my point of view. No, OP is not the jerk for not taking the kids. For whatever reasons she can say. I feel bad for the kids, not for the sister. But if OP is a stranger, it will not be much different for foster families to take them in, hopefully together. I often thought about who would take in my now 6yo grandson should something happen to my daughter and her husband. I couldn't, mentally or physically I could not handle him. I am the youngest grandparent, but I am pushing 70 and have my physical limits and mentally I cannot put up with his personality.

Regarding the baby-sitting segment: I wonder why the issue of a restraining order came up in the edits. OP was proven not-guilty. Are his ex-clients harassing or threatening him for some reason?

To put kids into a child free home may not be best for the kids, plus you are strangers to them! I can see your point. She should find the father's!

Can we PLEASE stop this mentality of calling willing child free people “selfish”?! I’m so tired of this argument. I agree first story OP is not the jerk. She said she has no relationship with her sister, why should she be forced to adopting them? You can not force anyone to do anything. Even forcing someone to donate an organ or blood can not be done.
