- song is only heard in-game for 12 seconds and it's covered by sfx and dialogue
- stage is just a straight line that plays itself, literally an interactive cutscene
- top it all with the most "BRUH" moment in the entire series

I always wondered what was the purpose of this weird dimention, in the story is more of a push over than a vital part of the plot and in the level is just a start sequence. I have the feeling that during testing they wanted the null space part to be longer but it was scraped to make the level not take to long before start playing, especially when someone is going for a high place in the leaderboards since restarting the stage over and over having to watch a 45 second or more start wouldn't be really that fun (even watching the 20 second part can be tiring), so they cut the null space part. I have interest in this idea but I prefer if this concept was used in other form of story telling rather than a Sonic game, similar to E-102
