So einer Person überhaupt eine Plattform zu geben - unfassbar!!

If you study her body language in other news reels, she is visibly smirking, chuckling, and haughtily acting out.

German here. There's a small but very important detail in there. When asked, if she's regretting doing that, she doesn't say "no". That would have been "Nein" - something you can easily identify. Instead, she uses the word "nö" - which is a VERY casual way to deny something, that you don't really care about. I'd say it's like saying "nah" in english. She has no care in the world. She denies any involvement, did not see/hear/do anything whatsoever.
AS LONG AS THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE THIS IN OUR COUNTRY, WE ARE GUILTY.

English Translation:
Simply put.. After she states her name and her status as a guard in Belsen camp, she says they had to load the dead bodies onto trucks and were driven to the top of the camp where the burial pits were dug. Along the ride on the trucks to the burial pits, the prisoners threw things at them as they passed by. She describes the dead bodies being so emaciated they tore apart when they were throwing them into the mass graves. Their fingers seemed terribly long, their faces were like skin wrapped bones and the shoulders made cracking noises when lifting them by the arm. She then goes on to say that looking back in hindsight she doesn't feel as if she made a mistake. On the contrary, she feels the real mistake is that it was a concentration camp. She says she had to go to work there or she would have been imprisoned there herself.
Footnote:
Herta Bothe-Lange died in March 2000, aged 79

she became known as the "Sadist of Stutthof" due to her brutal beatings of prisoners.

Kinda suprised she was allowed to go free after 6 years out of 10 years sentence, and that no one took matters in their own hands and killed her as some sort of comfort revenge. That she even was allowed to go to prison after being one of the guars in a camp with hundreds if not thousands of bodies were found is somewhat a discrace to humanity. She did not deserve life after what she and her collegues did. There is no excuse.

What she is saying is that she was a young lady employed into a system of which she didn't understand and that she was merely obeying orders and instructions set to her she is quite apologetic but not remorseful like she felt it was necessary

So lebt man also, wenn man die schlimmste Schande und Schuld auf sich geladen hat.

Herta Bothe, you are lucky I never came across your path after your release. I would have showed you no mercy.

My father entered Bergen Belsen two days after the first British troops liberated the camp. His unit was sent to try to keep as many of the inmates alive as possible. He described hell on earth. I was told about this 25 years later whilst I was serving in the RAF. He said he suffered nightmares for years later. And still humanity doesn't learn from its
