Leroux was in so many dangerous situations.. She's gotta finish one of them at least! And Heath served that ball on a platter for o Reilly! Those chances HAVE to be finished and turned into goals. Especially with the WC so soon.

Dear fanmates: 
- Sends-off are rehearsals, not the show. Women’s soccer only has the World Cup and the Olympics. NSWL is not the NFL, NBA, or MLB. Not even it is the MLS yet. So, you HAVE to avoid injuries, you do not want play hero during a rehearsal.
- On 1:29, Moe crosses and Abby, instead of controlling and turning to shoot, makes a nice little touch to serve Syd.
- On 1:43, Moe crosses to Abby, who awkwardly prefers to head it back (intending for Press, but ends up in Ali’s feet). In Canada, Abby will choose to send a header to the goalie. She was avoiding a kick or, worst, a collision with the head of the defender, as the crossing was not high enough for her to jump. She had bled thru her nostrils during a recent send-off game.

Jill Ellis has this team all out of sorts. That Midfield is a joke. It's a big enough problem that Jill Ellis doesn't plan on using a true CDM (that one baffles me), but the way she utilizes the outside mids is something a Rec coach would do. Putting Morgan Brian (A center Mid) and Christen Press (a Forward) on the flanks is asinine. Those two excel when placed in the middle of the field. You could see throughout the game both of them drifting inwards and essentially taking away 25% of the field to use. Another issue they have is that the two forwards have no chemistry. If I had it my way I would bench Holliday, push Johnston up to CDM, leave Lloyd as the Lone CAM, Put Rapinoe and HAO on the flanks. Start Sauerbrunn and Engen in the at CD. Kreiger on the right. Start KOH on the left (she's quicker than Kling and be more suited to shut down the quicker player the US will play. My forwards would be Press and A-Rod. Then sub in Wambach at the later stage of the game. When Alex Morgan gets back to full strength I would take out A-Rod.

Need more scoring punch .. Alex Morgan still recovering from her old injury...when she clicks with the team, an unstoppable machine.. Pray the wonderful kid a full recovery for this last two rounds.

I actually liked this game. You don't wanna go into a world cup thinking every team is going to play like Mexico. The Americans looked TIRED but they still managed some great plays.
Now they REALLY MUST work on placing their shots in front of goal instead of just blind shooting. IF we can win against Australia and Nigeria in our group we should do well going further.

This is a great team but needs more connections in the final third. Two of the best moments were the Carli-Press-Carli-Syd combo from 0:44 to 0.51 and the nice little touch that Abby serves to Syd after the crossing from Moe on 1:28.

Women soccer is getting tougher every year, look at poor Korean girls from no where trying to defeat USWNT in their soil. This is the type of friendly matches that we need to watch here in US. We don't need any country that will come to concede 7 goals to 0 to USWNT. We need teams like Koreans who will surprise USWNT so they can learn their lessons. I love the game, it's well balanced. This is pre- WWC game for Canada 2015, So you will see the rest action in the next 10days from now.
