Watch New Type of the Vibration Sensor:

Wireless Vibration Sensor using Nodemcu ESP8266:

Project Description:
********************
Today’s episode is about the SW-420 vibration sensor. In this episode, you will learn how to use a vibration sensor with Arduino and control an led when a certain pre-defined value is exceeded. This is an introductory tutorial, which covers the vibration sensor pinouts, its interfacing with the Arduino, and basic programming. While in the upcoming tutorials this vibration sensor will be used in an earthquake notification system using gsm and wireless sensor network using zigbee or xbee.
Let’s get started!!!!

The components that we will need for this project are
1. Arduino
2. SW-420 vibration sensor
3. An led “light emitting diode” the longer led is the anode and the shorter leg is the cathode.
4. A 330 ohm resistor
5. Some jumper wires and finally number
6. A Breadboard

This project is based on Arduino and same code can also be used with Mega.

this is a great setup, i was hoping you would know how i could use a speaker as output, also i wanted to play an audio file on the speaker if the vibration is exceeded. is this possible?

HI sir!! it was a great tutorial ever. A quick question, if we want to use the kit but with different platform like mobile phone, do we have to retype the programme again?

Great videos for beginner like me to study arduino. But i have a question, when i upload the code, there is a error code says "vibration was not declared in this scope" (On the first line of void loop). What can i do to solve the problem? Thanks

what is the unit of the output values we are getting? ? I mean I want my vibration sensor to give the values in hz. Is it possible?

Actually I am making a project on vibration sensor using arduino where we will be monitoring the vibrations of the machine and detect if it is vibrating above it's limited value. It would certainly be good if you gave a little advice .Is there a requirement of nodemcu if I need to display output on screen or that purpose is solved by the output window of Arduino IDE ?

Hello brother,
I hope you're doing well after four years, i have a question and i hope that you have the answer for it .
i want to read the values of the vibration i mean the real values in Hz so i can use it in my project and do some calculation .
thank you and i appreciate your help

Hey, thanks for this video.

It is possible to send a midi signal from the arduino, triggerd by the SW40? I want to trigger ResolumeVJ with vibrations for an university artproject.

Instead of powering a LED, can I get it power something that draws power from a USB cable?

How can I boost the signal of the vibration sensor so the Arduino Board can see weaker signals coming from it? I know I'm missing some signals coming off the sensor using the set up in your video.

I want to create a rig that will allow me to measure the vibration of my boy's pinewood derby race car wheel and axles so I can determine which wheel axle combinations run the smoothest (least friction). Do you think this would be applicable. I'm not much of an electronics expert, but I can see how this could possibly work. Though I'd rather be able to read a numeric value for the vibration than just a led signal lamp.
