In 2010, the Himalayan nation of Nepal was one of 13 countries to commit to doubling its wild tiger populations by 2022. In the decade since, Nepal is the only country to have achieved that goal.

Over that time, other iconic species including rhinos and elephants have also seen an increase. What's behind the success? And what does it mean for the communities living with the tigers? The BBC's Asia editor Rebecca Henschke reports in "Return of the tigers" from Bardiya National Park.

Directed and filmed by: Kevin Kim

In Germany, people complain about the return of the Wolf and other predators. This is so redicolous compared to the conflict we see here, 'cause no human has been injured by a Wolf in Germany in over 20 years.
A huge respect to the guy who lost one eye due to a tiger and *still* believes in a peaceful side-by-side between humans and tigers. *This* is what deserves high regards!

Nepalese Armies are not appericiated enough by us enough.
Indian & British armies get so much respect but reality is Nepalese armies are working hard to protect our motherland. I also think they was way less corrupted than police.

The Neplese government should shift the nearest villages to the national park to other safe places so that both the people and the animals could live happily. Anyways, luv from Nepal 🇳🇵
