Excellent video. Came primarily just to see how the clips are aligned and the easiest corners to start with to avoid damage. But super informative video, straight to the point without overlooking any important details(like other posters often do).

I may also end up doing a display replacement in one of these soon and I will definitely be using your other thinkpad videos. 🤙

Great video, I've never done hardware upgrades on a laptop before so I was nervous but your video helped me replace the internal battery on my Thinkpad! Thanks!

My T480 does not have a removable battery - only the internal one, which has failed completely and is no longer recognized by the system. I removed the cover (the battery looks like its about to explode), got the details of the battery, and ordered a new one. My question is that without a battery (internal or external) do I still need to disable the battery (under wall power) from the BIOS prior to replacement? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Hello!

Thanks for the easy to follow tutorial. I successfully replaced my T480 internal battery. One thing which was different in my case was that the backpanel didn't fit that easy onto my notebook, didn't hear enough clicks like with yours. I just screwed it back on after trying to put it back 3 times, hope it doesn't break anything.

Also do you know which type of glue i can use to glue the CMOS Battery in place again?

Thanks for the video. I was hoping to also learn which batteries are considered battery 1 and 2 as shown on the display bar on the bottom right of my screen so I can keep track of their levels. Would battery 1 be considered the internal battery? Thanks again.

Very helpful video. One question: Do you know if there are bigger internal batteries? I know that the 2nd battery can be up to 72.000Wh, but can the internal one be bigger, too? Thanks

Hello good sir! I have one question, so my internal battery is not working and I'm afraid to open my laptop (don't have enough courage yet haha) but if I am going to replace the battery, does it need to be the same model? Thank you!

Thanks for the video! One question, my internal battery is already dead and I've been relying on the external battery for a while now. Do I still need to go into the BIOS to disable the internal battery before removing it, or can I skip that step?

My both batteries are down. Do I need both internal and external? Can I only replace the external?

Hey Chez, I've found your video looking for a solution for a problem while installing a new internal battery for my Lenovo. I think I've messed something up, since when I took out the old battery I didn't de activate it from BIOS previously, now neither the old and new internal batteries won't charge, do you have any suggestion?

Thanks in advance and great video =)
