When I was in middle school, my parent didn’t trust me with anything more than two levels up from a student violin, but had no problem buying me an amazing bow. So for a solid couple of years, my bow was worth more than my violin. That bow is still my favorite

Well as a violinist whom has and had oppertunity to gloat over some VERY expensive violins

Some wood, designs, meathods of "periods" of violins are RARE as in they where extemely unique or didnt survive the times.

Others has laqors and finishes of their spouces or loved ones blood which was of their "LAST" works and where to almost have a soul when played unlike any other violin and cost millions.

It can be like owning a fine piece of art from a devoted creator who works where destoryed, neglected, and the few cherished to cost so much
