Oh boy, I can't wait for the Revolutionary Wars DLC with United States and Revolutionary France as civs.
Also Genoa, Venice and Milan as civs while keeping Italians where they are.
The future is bright for AoE2.

chinese native here, the fact that wu gets a siege bonus must be a joke by the dev, wu is famous for losing a battle sieging a city form wei with troops and failed when the opponent just had 800 cavalry

This belongs into a chronicles game mode, NOT the regular game.

Since the description of the hero says "increse the speed of nearby units" it should also be possible to use him as a boost for the economy. E.g. faster moving farmers, even if the range is limited. Also it will help to build aggressive castle or flee with less losses if it fails.

I believe you forgot that the unique tech that gives them extra projectiles.
The other civs will probably shoot only one.

as with every new civ, this all feels OP. But now when I play vs Bohemians, I know to go mangonel against those stupid wagons. So I guess with time, I'll learn to counter this civ too. And I'm sure nerfs will be incoming in short order as Red Phosphoru starts exploiting stuff. Not overwhelming excited for this DLC, but I guess time will tell.

Sun Jian being the Wu hero despite being dead for most of the story is certainly a choice. But i guess for hero better pick than Sun Quan.

The cavalry units are too strong for Wu, imo. Throughout history, all of the southern Chinese kingdoms suffered from the shortage of horses, as they lost both the ranch in the north and most of the trade routes to obtain horses. It will be more exciting to see Wu and Shu lost most of the stable units (only scout, and no elite Hei Guang etc) and give them strong infantry units as compensation. In history, Wu was famous in both infantry (丹陽兵) and water units.
