I think the plunger is based on Transformers animated, from the Botcon 2011 comic

The first gun you showed off is indeed based on the Combiner Wars Menasor sword base, specifically because of that one TFCC artwork of the wrecker incarnation of Toxitron.

There's this thing I kind of love about Toxitron; His characterization seems to be very consistently "This character from this thing, but as a big green robot truck, " but it's never the same idea every time he shows up. He's ALWAYS something new.
Animated was meant to be Optimus Prime's Bizarro counterpart who was the stupid lackey to the big guys, TFCC was Toxie who was feral and violent but tried to turn it towards people that were worse than him, and the tubing seems to be leaning more into the original Decepticon usage to turn him into some version of either Marvel Abomination, or DC Bane.

But I feel like my ideal take on Toxitron would be a Junkion from a waste dump who doesn't know or care about WHO he fights for. He just knows that a fight is happening and hops in on whatever looks fun, and if you're not the side he's on, you're going to be taking extra hot showers for the next week.

I think gap fillers are a neat idea. The reality of profit margins of toys kinda necessitates the way they do the designs, so fans giving other fans options is nice.

Just grabbed one after learning from Chris McFeely that Toxitron joined the Wreckers in one iteration.

I wish he came with some sort of blaster that had hoses so it could connect to the trailer or something. Something that said “yeah, this guys sprays acid or radioactive waste at people”.

I kinda like the monster-hunter style sword, as my thoughts on Toxitron, simply based off his name, is that he's something like a zombie of Cybertronians. In my own little lore for an original canon, he'd be brought to life by a failed experiment by Shockwave, and now Toxitron poses a threat to Cybertron and to Earth as he raises the dead Cybertronian as his undead legion. So for a zombie king, a monsterous sword feels kinda right, if you ask me.

Those hoses connecting the arms to the back remind me of Bane from the Batman comics, only instead of using venom to make him stronger, Toxitron uses toxic chemicals to destroy the Autobots. lol

I actually have the shotgun pair thingies in black. Very cool model, painted it with some blue and yellow and gave to my Laser prime. Like this video a bunch, hope to see more upgrade stuff in the future

I picked up the Legacy G2 Toxitron and I dig him a lot, Love his Constructicon colors and like his Orange toxic chemical leaking out on the side of his trailer

I do like the idea of toxitron having wires connected to his back to arms it make sense since in other sources toxitron has unlimited amounts of toxic sludge all over his body when he uses his weapons his just using his whole body

Your point at the end there about Core prime, I agree 100%! I love that little mold, and I cannot believe hasbro has not repainted it like, 4 times yet. Hell, I’ll take a white Magnus one. Or Shattered Glass, or just a Yellow one. Gimmie a Rainbow of Core Prime!

I would love even a core class version of Shattered Glass Optimus. Dr. Wu I think has one but I believe it was a limited release.

Personally i would love a Toxitron repaint of Earthrise Optimus, just no trailer, so it can be a Voyager Release.

The swords are probably the closest color they had that's uv reactive, not really feeling any of them for this guy specifically though. But I am digging the guns and the kneepads.

In regards to legacy toxitron, you can make it look like the original toy by simply transforming the shoulders partway.

As for the second blaster set you showed off, i feel those could go under his arms and also incorporate into vehicles mode, maybe a auxiliary pair of smoke stacks to increase the amount of toxins pumping out of him as he drives.
