Thin Lizzy Ballad of a Hard Man, The hard and heavy riff at the start of this song is like the clash of steel girders smashing into each other, The Lizzy boys had the best riffs of any band  and had thousands more brilliant riffs to spare,   this is a top quality hard rocking song and is my favorite tune by Thin Lizzy, come to think of it equal to every other song produced by this band which are all my most favorite Lizzy tunes, in other words, each and every tune those boys produced are my most favorite songs of all time. I hope I have made myself clear on this point

Scott's song.. been listening to this over 38yrs and it never gets old.. Killer Riff age... ! one of many on this album and next album and previous Night Life.. Always been always will be a Fan. It was Great moment in my life when I got to shake hands w/ Mr.Gorham. Wish Brian was there also but it was John Sykes instead... Roll on w/ Lizzy, never be a better line up then w/ these two Dual lead attacks. Killer Riff-age.

Love this song!  Was listening to it when I found Phil Lynott's grave in Dublin.  The beat is kinda confusing (wonder how Brian Downey counts it), but it flows easily.  Lots of great songs on the Fighting album!
