I never comment but this is the best tutorial on how to deploy your MERN stack app to cloud. The only negative I have is when you skip/edited the mistake you made by forgetting to remove local host from your routes. I was so confused for hours on what went wrong. The answer is remove the local host and have them pointing to your new ip . Once done you need to rebuild the react front end that conatins those routes. You would basically repeat what he does in the beginning part of the video . After you run the yarn build you need to delete the static folder in the server folder in order to move the newly created react build folder there. Once done you shouldnt get any connection errors when connecting to your API. Hope that helps someone. Still great vidoe and will definetly sub!

Basic way of deploying ❣️. Acctually reminds my older days. But It would be cool if you deployed with docker and docker compose.

You could use NVM instead of installing npm first.

Hey, bro. Nice vdo. And nyc explanation. You showed the way to figure out how to to serve files on DO platform. But, I am new to learning this DO platform and proxy and reverse proxy.

In, the video at one point you told that the port is hard coded somewhere in the backed which you changed off camera. Please, can you guide me where we need to change the port number which was hard coded. ?

Thanks You for a helpful content.
