They said RUSH E was impossible on saxophone

I spent 40 hours learning what people told me was an impossible saxophone piece. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever played. I spent 10 hours alone on my double tonguing to hit 13.3 notes per second, and the rest nailing down the fast fingering. Hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed creating it!

The song looks easy enough - the impossible part was cloning himself into a quartet...

Randomly was recommended this while browsing YouTube. Pretty sure we went to Elementary School together 20+ years ago. Hope life is treating you well!

Soprano sax: yellow clarinet
Alto sax: the basic sax everyone plays
Tenor sax: the stereotype saxophone
Bari sax: the woodwind tuba

I cannot believe you have been doing this for 3 years and don’t have at least 100k subs as you are very talented and deserve recognition

You’re really underrated! I’m a young alto sax player (I’ll be a freshman next year) and I started playing in the summer before 7th grade. I started playing tenor earlier this year, but I have to admit, I get squeaky on it sometimes lol. Videos like this are really cool and make me feel like one day i really can be this good :)

Holy smokes, is that double tonguing? My single tongue is only up to 136ish, 144 if it's just 4-6 notes, this sounds like 180 then 204 or smth! I'm a clarinetist so I can only do it in the lower register, higher causes some scoops bc of voicing, but it's getting easier over time.

INCREDIBLE ARRANGEMENT!!!

I’m a complete music novice, although I love watching random YouTube videos of very talented people doing really difficult things well. All the same, I strongly suspect Rush E is a simple sounding ditty with some serious music theory chops underpinning it. For a daft tune written to be impossible to play by humans, it’s impossibly catchy on by a way that I don’t believe is accidental. Nice version! I have no idea what “double tonguing” is but it sings difficult, so kudos for sticking with it until you nailed it 😁

the fact that you can flick your tongue and switch fingers that fast is insane. i'm a middle schooler learning clarinet (and moving on to alto sax later) and this is crazy impressive! keep it up, man!!

You are very talented! I've played a few different instruments over the years but sadly sax isn't among them. One day, I hope to play that sexy devil of an instrument myself.

When i saw you did not even have 1000 subs yet, I was shocked. You sound like you should have at least 50k!

Amazing articulation not only on the alto & soprano but the low parts are crisp as well. Nice
