These look exactly like they're made by the same people who make Monopricess Retros. For that price, TheFijianGuy is right. Go for the Monoprice and spend the extra on the better pads.

Don't be fooled by the price and the ugly blue accents in the design! I've been using these headphones for over 10 years. I've tested quite a few headphones and each had some feature that made mixing more difficult. The Sennheiser hd pro (I don't remember the model, but I remember the price 3 times higher) were uncomfortable, sounded unmusical, claustrophobic and completie unlike any other audio equipment, so they were useless. Then I bought three times more expensive AKG 550s. They sounded beautiful and precise, but extremely bright, giving the wrong picture of balance in the mix. In addition, after 10 years of use, they look like a Picasso painting and are useless. The HD 7 headphones bought at the same time, treated like garbage, still work and the only thing that has been damaged is the plastic at the top of the head. The frequencies are a bit smiley, but neutral and balanced enough that you won't be shocked when you listen to the recording on the speakers afterwards. The separation of the instruments is not the best, but spatial soundstage compensate it a bit. Sibilants and bass are a bit fuzzy, but that sometimes helps to set the overall timbre of a mix. The headphones are very light and comfortable. I consider these headphones a 12/10 in their price class. Of course, there are better and more expensive models, but you have no guarantee that by paying extra for them you will be more satisfied. I was not. Also, I tested several consumer models, priced way higher than the hd 7, and they all had too much bass to be used for monitoring.The HD7 won't seduce your soul, but it will allow you to do basic work without big surprises. Got sick with the insane price for genuine replacement pads for my Sony MDR-7506 and just ordered the Hd7. The price, including shipping is going to cost me a couple Euros FEWER than the pads for the Sony.
I just hope they are at least close to the studio performance of the Sony.

the hd7 is a rebranded superlux HD661and the hd9 is a rebranded AT H M50

I don't see the point of a carrier bag. This style of headphones is too bulky for on-the-go use and doesn't fold up. Plus these are open-backed phones that let sound leak both out and in: you can't listen in peace in a noisy environment, and other people have to hear what you're listening to.

Everything Presonus makes is good to damn good however I've yet to use anything Great other than the ACP - 22 & the Eris 3.5. In a way Presonus is like Behringer without all the intellectual theft and much better customer support. I own the HD 7s, they're good, class dismissed

Be careful with these. The wire breaks very easy and it sucks you can't just remove them and buy a new cable. Mine came apart after a few months of using them. Sucks cause they sounded good

have these for years. too much bass and too much mid scoop. also the cable crapped out at the connection point at the headphone. I would not buy again
