Yosemite is *Haunted* My Elder's who are Native American have told me stories about creatures that walk the valley floor of the park. One year we went to a*Bear Dance Ceremony* - this time it ran quite late into the night. My daughter and I had planned on camping over - my Elder told me to pack up because it wasn't safe being there and he wouldn't allow it even though we were in what I thought was a safe place next to the park ranger station. I kinda argued his plea because I assumed his fear was because of the bear's in the area; I ended up packing up driving back at 2am with my Elder following me to make sure I left the park. The next day He told me about the creatures that come in after certain ceremonies - He said the sound of the drums are heard for miles and these entities are drawn to them.

When you talked about the flannel man, I had a flashback to my early childhood! I'm 70 years old and when I was a child, still sleeping in a crib (maybe 3 or 4) I remember waking up in the middle of the night, looking over at my brother sleeping and seeing what I thought was my dad sitting on the side of his bed, he was wearing a red and black flannel shirt. Not sure why that fact sticks in my head. I said "daddy?" he turned his head and looked at me and raised his finger to his lips to shush me. Then turned back to my brother and raised a huge knife over his head like he was going to stab my brother! I SCREAMED!! He disappeared and when my mother and father came running in, I wanted nothing to do with my dad, which was unusual for me. I remember this as clearly as if it happened yesterday. This story just brought it flooding back.

I live in Las Vegas but have a 3 acre home in Yosemite Ca and I can tell you the land has energy. I had lots of issues with my property at first while cleaning out bushes and dead trees. After remodeling my house in Yosemite I ended up having heart surgery and a month later my father suffered a heart attack on the property. I’m a city person and did not understand why this had happened. I had to let the land know I meant no harm and ask for it’s permission. Now it accepts me, squirrels wild turkeys and deer literally come right up to me like I’m part of them. Once I had to pull over on the side of the road and I had to pee really bad, my wife was driving and I walked maybe 20 feet into the thick Yosemite trees and bushes so no one could see me. The moment I walked in I no longer heard any birds cars or the sound of my wife’s van, it was an eerie feeling but I could hear the leaves on the trees . So if your there respect the place and ask for permission.

The other day we went biking at Yosemite valley for 10 miles and at one point it got deeper into the woods as the dirt path got more narrow. I stopped at that point bc I felt strongly if we go farther there would be danger so we turned back. Yosemite can be dangerous with bears, wild animals and unknown creatures. Just be extra careful n stay on trail. Thank you Lord for his protection ✝️🙏🥺

Summer 2008, I took a a girl I was dating out there for a weekend of camping. In the middle of the night we were woken up to the most frightening sound I've heard to this day. It sounded like a bear which was screaming for its life. As if it were being eaten alive. It went on for almost a minute. Having camped since I was a child even sometimes alone. I've never heard anything like it.
The voice of the woods is true. Camping one time I heard someone call out my name. Funny thing was I went alone on that trip.

Love that being a straight up story teller is making these YouTubers successful. Such a wholesome art form

While hiking with my dog in Yos I found and helped get a woman trapped between a tree and a rock outcropping. She was happy to see me especially out in the back country. After a rest I helped her to the ranger station...my dog got the reward. All was well after

I use to work in Yosemite and I can confirm that Yosemite holds many secrets.
It’s a blessing to have lived in Yosemite valley and experience some of these secrets.
What a time to be alive

I live in Fresno and I have seen a wolfape before. Once in the country side. It was in the middle of the night and I was with my little brother. The ambient light was just enough to see the shape and facial structure. To me, the face looks exactly like a cat and the body was very hairy but shaped like a human with fingers and claws. It was crouching looking directly at us. I seen it and told my brother what the heck is that? He looked at it directly too. We all stared at each other for what seemed like forever til my brother decided to spit at it. As soon as he does, the creature ran off with such speed that all we were able to see was the wake of the grass behind the creature. Till this day, we don't know what the heck we saw...

I grew up in Coulterville, CA which is in the foothills just below Yosemite. I went to high school with all the Park Ranger's children and I used to spend several months each year in the park. While I can't speak to any mysterious or paranormal activity in the park because I never experienced any. I was part of Search and Rescue operations in the Park on many occasions. It may be romantic to think that the people who simply vanished did so under mysterious circumstances, but the reality is that most of them probably fell to their deaths in the extremely rugged terrain and will never be found because the location that their bodies landed is totally inaccessible and full of crevices or ground cover that block view for the air.

I love the idea of the guy jumping out of his tent screaming and scaring the shit out of a curious bigfoot who then screamed and ran off

There actually more than 300 missing persons in Yosemite and those are ones that have been logged but never released

it's interesting that you use the term "protected lands". we used to think that National Parks were set up to protect the land and wildlife. Now, it begins to look possible that they were set up to ensure that neighborhoods and cities weren't set up where these cryptids were living.

Yosemite is my favorite place I've ever been. I've been going there since childhood, camped there several times, deep in the woods as a teenager in the early 1980's. It is far too crowded now, with regulations they didn't have back then, but it is still gorgeous, and worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime.

The unknown creatures that are responsible for most of these disappearances use underground passages to move about the park unseen. NPS knows the details. Ask why ground penetrating radar is banned. I lived there 4 years...

I had an experience with a flannel shirt ghost back in 2004 or 2005. I was staying at a family members house in Warren Michigan. It was about 1-2 am and I could not sleep so I was watching TV. Something in my peripheral vision caught my attention. I turned and looked, there was a flannel shirt floating in the air where it would be if worn by a person. I saw no head or limbs, just the shirt. It was translucent and was visible for about 20 seconds. I just shrugged and went back to watching TV until I could sleep. I never saw the flannel ghost again but it was strange

My husband saw a "night crawler" as a kid when he was camping with a friend. When we first saw the Fresno video he said "that's I saw when I was camping with my friend!" He told me about that encounter when we first met back in 1997 and I was spooked as heck. This took place in Maryland. Edit: I talked to my husband today and I forgot that he saw it multiple times, so he will write it down so I can send it to What lurks beneath.

I didn’t know about the flannel bit but that happened to me! I was playing golf solo at Hueston Woods golf course in Oxford Ohio. It’s a beautiful golf course that sits in a wooded area at the edge of the state park. They had all you can play dusk specials and when i was younger it was the only way to afford playing a few times a week. It was just me on the back nine and on hole 15 there is a good place outta view of the clubhouse to use the bathroom real quick and smoke some Mary Jane.
I did both carefully watching my surroundings to make sure no one saw me smoking…all good. The tee box is 20 yards from the spot, i got in my golf cart and drove up to the tee box. Proceeded to get out walk up to the tee and bent over to put my tee in the ground. As i stood up i glanced back at the spot where i had just been chilling for 10 min….and there it was! A see through man in an old school brown hat that covers your ears and a flannel shirt barely visible legs. There was no face just a blank misty deal, i stood there for about 5 seconds trying to comprehend what i was seeing and then slowly walked back to the cart and drove straight to the clubhouse. And was of course treated like an idiot after telling them what had just happened.

Edit: It was wild i could see the colorful fall leaves on the tree behind him mixed in with his flannel shirt. Looked just like the predator without being blurry like he was “Fading into reality” is the best way i can put it. At first my mind went to this hunter was back there and just busted me peeing/smoking until my brain realized he was see through with no face.

You gotta be careful out there. Stay on the trails, always travel with other people and make noise, leave if you hear wood breaking or feel like your being watched, and don't go out at night

I saw the “goat man” when I was 15. Came home terrified and in shock and told my parents, they said my mind was playing games on me. My friend and I both stand by what we saw to this day.
