I got to see this in the theater. Does anyone else remember when it was affordable to go see movies all the time?
Anyway, Outland is great and I can definitely see it sharing the same in-universe time span with Alien. Love the soundtracks for both of those movies. Jerry Goldsmith was a master composer.

This movie is very underated. Great camera work. Great music. Great acting. Great fight scenes. Great everything... Minus the kid. Hahaha 😂

I liked that, for a change, there was no romance implied in relationship between O’Neil and the doctor. Not every relationship between men and women turns into love and romance and Outland was wise to avoid it. And yes, O’Neils kid has to be one of the most annoying child actors ever. A cardboard cut out from a Life cereral box would do better!

The meth drug psychosis symptoms were spot-on. One of many "practical" or life-like aspects of the film. One of my favorites!❤

Fun Fact: Future "Cheers" star John Ratzenberger has a role in the movie as an ill-fated psychosis victim and Frances Sternhagen (Dr. Lazarus) would go on to portray his mother on the show.

It's almost 7:00 am here in California and I'm have some minty and my morning coffee. I just realized I only saw this movie once back in the day. We still have a..."drum roll" A video store! Shouts and screams! children crying" yes we do! Because of your channel we've watched and re-watched many, many, films. We turned off our cable ten years ago. No more mind numbing television...We really think you do a amazing job...We just love this channel....

Picked up a copy of book in a used book in Tucson, Arizona a decade ago. It's a faithful, if rather quick read. Brilliant movie first saw it about 24 years ago on Channel 4 in the UK.

Best acting from Connery. Sad that Hollywood snubs genres like sci-fi, horror and fantasy. Outland seem to feel like a in-between story of Alien and Bladerunner

For everyone who's never seen Outland...I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Great cast and a real sense of danger. Couple of gnarly decompression deaths where you may want to cover your eyes, but I don't recall anything else distressing. And Sean Connery is a badass.

Another “my dad took me to see it at the drive-in”. Really memorable to 11 year old me. Watching the bodies in vacuum was a trip.

Very underrated. Sean Connery gives a great performance.
