The fast tidal waters racing through the narrow gap that forms Kyle Rhea are undoubtedly the main focus of this trip. ... Look out for (and make sure you avoid) the ferry that operates in the summer months. this small six-car ferry is the last turntable ferry in operation, and watching it navigate the fast tidal water will make you understand where the term 'ferry glide' came from!"

The not so great weather conditions found on the very NE of the Isle of Skye made me head S hoping for sunny blue skies and calm sea but it wasn't the case. I was a bit late for the tide and before I reached the narrow gap at Kyle Rhea it turned against me.
