Hello friends, today in this video i have shown how to make a high voltage transformer. Here i have used a old flyback transformer's ferrite core. Anyone can try this at home.

Latest project with this transformer

Step-down transformer to High-voltage generator

Components required for this project:-

Ferrite transformer core
Tip41 transistor
220 ohm resistor
22 ohm resistor
Diode uf4007

All in one circuit, using this transformer

Output voltage of that device - no more than 16000 V. W2/W1=1000/6=167. Uce max(TIP41C)=100 V. 100 V *167 = 16700 V . That's all - breakdown.

30000V would give a spark of ~3cm so that here it is ~10000V

What everyone is calling 'spark' is actually called 'arc'.

For 30000V outer with 6V inner with 0.1A, you need one core with 65.73 cm² surface, in turn 4 by 14.44mm wire and out turn 20540 turn by 0.20mm wire

This transistor outer must be less than 1000 V

Let's have Mehdi from ElectroBOOM reacted to this video.

This guy surely believes that these chinese stun modules produce "7 million voltage" XD (as seen on ElectroBoom)

Good video thumbs up. Thanks. But TPV = 1000 turns / 6 turns=166.66 x 6 volts =approx 1000Volt. If you want 30 KV you need 30, 000 turns .

As everyone else has had a guess at the voltage I'll have one too. The breakdown voltage of air is about 30kV per cm. The longest gap that I saw the spark initiate was about a quarter of the width of his thumbnail at 9:39, say about 4mm. So the voltage is about 0.4 x 30kV = 12kV. Also the breakdown voltage of the transistor is say 80V (it's rated at 60V) so the output voltage can't exceed 1000t/6t x 80V = 13kV, Seems about right.

So many dispersive critics. People that never creates, they only criticize. D'ont pay attention. Nice job.

So that's 30kV in the same way your Chinese stereo has 1000W of "peak musical power". Those are "peak musical volts" lol.

With this kinda music i expect to see a crowd of people dancing along with the project!

If you’ve never used or experienced a negative ion generator; you need to. They really are amazing little devices. There are several ways to produce them but one is known as the corona affect, I would think this would generate negative ions quite well.

Uumm the insulation of the cable doesn't seem suitable for 10kV...this must NOT be done at home

Nice little project. It is certainly not 30, 000 volts. It it were you could not touch those wires. Not even with one hand muchless with two hands. Sparks would be coming through the insulation of those blue wires.

I think it is better to substitute TIP41C with 2SC2335. 2SC2335 can hold 400V while TIP41C only 100V. This holding voltage capability will boost output voltage significantly.

Geeezzz that music will drive a person insane.
This project is very time consuming. Cheaper to buy a high voltage power supply already in a module for under $10 on eBay.
