New Baroque Suite - Ted Huggens

The New Baroque Suite is a composition based on baroque motives. Many wind bands with a certain musical level had a lot of fun with this piece in sixties and seventies. And not only the musicians but also the audience were much pleased with the fine melodies and the beautiful timbre. The New Baroque Suite consist of 3 parts: Overture, Air and Fugueing Tune.

Played this over 30 years ago with my youth concert band (Huntingdon YCB) and we nailed it. Still find this going round my head to this day. RIP Laurie Hurst.
