How Drinking 1L of Orange Juice CHANGED MY LIFE

When I was a child, I used to love orange juice. But when I became a teenager I stopped drinking it, because I thought sugar was bad. I was already trying to reduce my calories to get a 6 pack.

But about 2 years ago I started adding orange juice back into my diet after reading stuff from Ray Peat.

It made me feel good, so I started drinking more of it.

So in the last year, I've averaged about 1L of regular orange juice from concentrate every day.

In this video, you can read about the benefits I experienced.

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. I'm just sharing what I'm eating and what works for me. I'm still figuring things out, so don't blindly follow my advice. If you want to implement something I'm doing, I recommend you try it out for around 7 days and see if you feel better or worse.

i get scared of drinking orange juice a lot because i heard that it can be toxic because the fiber was removed and thats what makes the juice toxic, i also saw a video of someone saying soda was better than orange juice, but now i realize that there is probably nothing wrong with orange juice and i shouldnt be scared of consuming it because at the end of the day the minerals and vitamins are geniuely beneficial to your body and its not like its sugar from a soda. Plus if i drink only water and not juice im never satifisied, and as you said orange juice satisifies you, and it does the same for me! I really needed this video to help me let go out of my fear of a drink i really enjoy, thank you!

I wanted to buy a juicer and juice tubers (, only carrots) and all thpes of fruit for flavor variety. According to this peer reviewed study there shouldn't be problems within a specific range: Dietary guidelines often deal with 100% fruit juice (FJ) inconsistently because it represents a source of free sugars. However, FJ also provides bioavailable micronutrients and plant bioactives at levels similar to those found in whole fruits. The present review weighs up the evidence from high-quality studies investigating a potential health harm for FJ against evidence from studies which indicate a potential health benefit. The findings reveal that FJ consumption, at moderate intakes consistent with the dietary guidelines for the US and some European countries (75–224 mL daily), does not increase the risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease or poor glycaemic control. In contrast, regular consumption of FJ—even up to 500 mL per day in short-to-medium-term studies—appears to confer a health benefit in terms of vascular function and reduced blood pressure. Emerging evidence for cognitive health benefits requires further investigation in human trials. Observational studies report associations between FJ and nutrient adequacy and suggest that FJ consumption is associated with reduced risk of stroke. In conclusion, FJ appears to offer more benefit than risk and there appears to be no justification for discouraging FJ within a balanced diet for children and adults.

No, you're just craving the sugar. I had this craving whenever I consumed sugar without fiber. It was the same for orange juice as it was for sweet. It was not enjoyable, and anectode this, anectode that, the rollercoaster for the blood sugar is just everything but healthy. It gives you exactly those short-lived bursts of energy followed by crashes that are so addictive and detrimental to our health longterm. No, your body doesn't need to consume sugar. Long-chain carbs are a much better fuel, and adding fiber let's us utlize sugar in a similar way.

You can have the benefits without the drawbacks however, if you just make sure to always consume orange juice together with a meal or smoothie rich in fiber. Also, variety is key to a healthy diet, and 1l of orange juice provides much more vitamine C and flavanones than the body can use, while leaving it short of other nutrients and unnecessarily overloading it with sugar.
