Laura, you always receive tons of comments about your amazing garden designs, which you absolutely deserve, but I think it’s been a while since anybody commented about your filming skills. As I was watching this video, I was thinking of all the different camera angles that you achieved as you were planting those pots. I know that the editor plays a huge role in that as well, but your camera placement is always spot on and I love how you think of the different angles to show how you are doing a project whether it is pots like this or making a wreath or arrangement. Beautiful work.

Putting up an owl box is an easy way to keep voles away. It's so fun to see your mom's place. You both have such beautiful gardens.

My husband and I have coffee and tea every morning watching you and we love it when your at your mom and dad's Would of loved to have seen your dad's reaction when he pulled the boxwoods out and those voles on his FOR THE VOLES--mix three parts castor oil and one part dish soap. Add four tablespoons of the mixture to a gallon of water. Soak the tunnels and entrances to evict the moles and soak the holes to evict gophers.

To keep voles from eating your plants, make a chicken wire planter by wrapping the chicken wire around the empty pot planter.
Make sure the wire planter is slightly longer at the bottom, so that roots have room to grow.
Dig a hole for the planter, put the plant inside and cover with soil.
This will have voles turn up their sensitive noses, due to the nasty sharp chicken wire.

What happens with Grandpa, stays with Grandpa! My dad and my boys were inseparable. It is such a blessing to have family so close and be able to work together so well. Such a transformation at you Mom and Dad's. The gardens are just beautiful. I really like the colors in the pansies. It really reflects the season. Voles in the pots! I bet that was a surprise. I love my garden critters, most of the lol
