He only competed at 375 pounds by the mid-late 80's. He was between 295-320 pounds earlier in his career (late 70's-early 80's). His peak height was 6'5.5". Today he's a little over 6'0" and close to 600 pounds.

The thing most people forget is capes was injured and well past it when he did the WSM, he was much stronger and more athletic around his throwing peak. im not saying kaz wasnt better (kaz was the stronger guy) but people are too quick to shit on one of the greatest throwers of all time (6x highland games world champ) and a hell of a strength athlete

Geoff was also as quick over a 100 meters as the fastest Woman sprinter in Britain at the time Andrea Lynch 11.2 in around 1975. Capes was a Phenomenal Athlete weighing around 280lbs or 20st

Capes never would have won the WSM if Bill Kazmaier had been allowed to compete. Capes is a paper champion.
