😂😂😂😂 your “No” pic was funnny. As I’m approaching my 50, I found that the less makeup I wear especially eye makeup, the better I look. I also find myself spending more time on my skincare and eyebrows (and hair) than I ever did when I was much younger. So focus on lesser makeup, more on skincare and take care of your eyebrow and your hair.

I’m 60 and I have totally embraced a red lip and lip liners in the past few years. My natural salt and pepper hair looks best when paired with brighter lip colours and nude lips drain me. I also never skip a day without adding a soft flush of cream blush to my complexion.

I'm 57 years old, and I use Gabi's trick on the lower lash eyeliner and extending it out just a little bit because I don't want a true wing. It does work amazingly! You have to try this and you will be very happy with your results. 🥰🥰🥰

I usually don’t comment on makeup videos; and I watch A TON of them. This video contained some fresh, new information that was helpful to me as a woman in my early 50’s. Job well done!

Hi, this might help some people. I never hardly hear or see make up artists saying or showing us to use green colour corrector under the eyes. Well I'll tell you. Ive gone from never needing much coverage to being 58 and now need all the help i can get. My under eyes are dark ( i work nights) with a red brown colour right above the trough lines, i think it might be pigmentation along with the bruised mauvey 16:41 looking area. I kept trying peach, pink correctors, all different brands and nothing worked. I was about to give up then suddenly overall it looks reddy brown with the real darkness, so I used a green colour corrector i had in a rimmel corrector pallete id had for years, so nothing OMG it worked. With no make up on i didnt even need concealer over it, blend it in well and the discolouration disapeared. Put a bit more make up on and a tiny little dot of concealer and the result was amazing. So please if the peach and pinks arent working and you have browny, reddy, mauvey looking under eyes give green corrector a go if the peach and pinks arent working. I'm fair skinned, blonde with a very yellow undertone. Hope this helps some one. I dont normally comment but this was such a game changer and as i said havent seen mua's particularly doing this.

Great video. Post-menopause I found my complexion and lip color had become more washed out. I had to alter my colors and update my makeup. Mature women might not actually be shying from color, but using colors that used to look good on them. Colors I pulled off in my 40’s don’t work in my 50’s.

This is the first time I have heard a good reason for the need for lip liner. Thanks for the explanation! However, when it comes to anti-aging/smoothing crepey skin/fine lines/sagging etc, nothing has worked as well as the high-quality derma pen I got for $200.

Oh my goodness! That necklace is amazing and beautiful! Thank you for all the suggestions for us older chicks. I'm 57. I struggle with the lips. My upper lips are down turned at the edges making me look like I'm constantly frowning. Trying to "fix" that particular issue drives me nutty. I also struggle with my "speed bumps" the sagging upper eyelid that extends to the outside end of my eye area. You suggest taking the eye liner up and out on the lower lid. My speed bumps kind of make that difficult. Also trying to apply eye shadow with the sagging lid is annoying. I am not very good at art ( color theory and such) so trying to make the sagging area recede with a darker shade so that what little eyelid area color is seen is also tricky. Plus I have lots of "real estate" from eyebrow down to the sagging area. More practice is needed. Getting used to facial changes as we age and how to work with them takes patience, a good sense of humor and artistic ability.

Your BLOUSE!!!! If you don’t mind, where did you get that GORGEOUS top? It is so beautiful on you! And you are a wonderful enjoyable informative and personable makeup expert!! I’m 55 and have finally honored my skin and have found the right color, formula and coverage to look like my skin and not a mask! It’s Infallible! I love it. And I love you!! BTW I purchased 3 of your recommended Amazon eye massagers for my kids and they all LOVE THEM!! Also I have learned that a nice soft red lip is my best friend. Not everyday but it brightens my face immensely. Not afraid anymore

Your comparisons are spot on, great visuals! I have seen mature women trying to rock your Don'ts, (shaking my head), it doesn't look good at all. At 57, I have definitely had to switch up my makeup game because the old tried and true wasn't cutting it. I'm all in for enhancing my look, I feel more confident when I "put on my face". Aging is a gift and worthy of embracing. My current makeup routine is super simple. I'm not 20 any more, nor do I want to be, the products and placement have changed, I have too, and I'm okay with that. Thank You Gabi!

When I think back on the most stylish mature ladies I’ve seen, they tend to embrace the bonuses of aging: they can wear bolder jewelry, prints, and lip colors than a 20 year old can; the brass tacks is that nothing beats the flush of true youth visually, and trying to do too much when you’re naturally young and gorgeous looks gaudy or “gilding the lily” but as we mature, using bold graphic print clothing, jewelry, a pop of makeup color brings back that vibrancy to our visage!

I’m not intimidated by lip color because I’m “older” (57) - I’ve ALWAYS been intimidated. Weird as my mother rocked red lipstick her whole life. But she was a dark hair/eyes with pale skin, I am light hair/eyes with pale skin. I think the truth is that I don’t know what works for me. I have great lips, but I always want my eyes to be main focus. Loved the video and beautiful necklace!! 😊

I recently got just a tiny bit of filler in my lips, older women loose lip. It helps the down turn, and lip lines are gone. Just a tiny bit helped tremendously. I was on the fence for a long time finally did it. Start out really conservative they can always add more.

Great video Gabi! I'm 60 and the biggest challenge I have BY FAR are my eyebrows. They have thinned over the years and I struggle with making them look "natural". I've used brow powders, pencils and pomades. Not sure which approach is best for me. One of my eyes is more hooded and droopy than the other. I know brows are supposed to be sisters and not twins but my OCD self has a difficult time with how different they look! You have helped me so much with other tutorials -- please do one for brows!

Covering white brow hair would be super helpful also. The battle is real! 😂

Great video! I know what you mean about glowy foundation on oily/combo skin, it just doesn’t work for me. I used to love black eyeliner when I was young but now that I’m much older I can’t even wear black mascara without it looking too harsh. Regarding older women shying away from darker lipstick; around the mouth area for women like me is a “problem area” with sagging, lines, and thinning lips that we don’t want to draw too much attention to. A strongly defined lip also accentuates this. The darkest I’ll go is a medium shade and I’ll use a clear lip liner to keep the lipstick from bleeding into fine lines.

Great Tips. I agree with all. Concealer is the most challenging for me!
