Honestly it's the first time I see someone tell something positive about the game... and it's interesting to hear what those who enjoyed it think of it.

I'm a Huge DOW1&2 fan and while 3 is total Shit comparatively to those 2 Titles, The game on it's own as a RTS game without that comparison I think is "above average" as an RTS, Not great Or Bad just a Bit better then A Typical RTS.

I got it for 4.99 on the Steam Summer sale and I feel like it was totally worth it and I'm having alot of fun, The real crime and issue with this game was (gonna make a reference to another series) Instead of going the BF2 route dice did After it's 2017 lootbox fiasco they Did everything they could to remove the monitization and Add a crap ton of Fan wanted stuff like clone wars stuff, Offline Instant action, Command posts and all the heroes and Special classes like Clone commandos ect.
By time EA killed the games Live Service (which tbh was a really dumb move) the game is in such a Great state as a star wars game some even think it's better then the Original BF2 now, That game is proof a shit game at launch if the devs listened to the fans Can Turn it around into something great.

DOW3... Didn't do that, they took the cowards way out and Cut support due to negative feedback instead of Listening and Adding new stuff to it and adjusting what fans didn't like into something they would like.
DOW3 with the proper Dev support could Arguably of become as good as DOW1&2 but they chose to ignore the fans and cut support.... It's a shame, what could have been

Gamers who play "competitively" are always claiming to want a high skill-ceiling. Relic then proceeds to give them exactly what they want, and are review-bombed into the ground.

I have not played this game due to the negative reception, however, the consistent "complaint" I hear about this game is that it's "too hard". It took Dark Souls and Paradox games years to reach the mainstream's good graces, I imagine the same will hold true for this game as well.

I got it for $4, and still want my money back. I've got nearly 2000hrs in DoW2, and half of that was replaying the campaign. I gave up on dow3, on mission 5, and never went back. I hate absolutely everything about it. Even the lore is broken!

And those animations! Wtf?! They're so floppy, and cartoonish. I could deal with the colorful, WoW graphics, but not the animations.

Huh, it looks decent enough if seen in a vacuum like this. Probably would give it a go if there's a free play weekend or severely discounted. I may have been too harsh shunning it.
