When her water broke at just 25-weeks gestation and her labor started, Tamara Walden-Regenold knew that her infant son would be fighting for his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Howard County General Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine. In June 2023, the hospital was renamed Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.
