Great review! I have the jigged titanium spear point and thoroughly enjoy it. Thank you Austin you did a fantastic job with these and are an awesome guy too. Loved the kind message received on my order.

Damn those are nice, expensive but definitely worth it. Titanium bolsters and M390 steel. For awhile I was looking at the benchmade 319 proper slipjoint but this one seems cooler to me, especially that fat style spearpoint blade. I recently bought the victorinox alox solo (aka swiss army 1) but it was too difficult to open and close so I sent it back. I like how these ones have that big groove to grip it when opening. This knife is definitely on my wish list once I get another job.
I found your channel from your review of the axial shift, thank you for putting out good honest reviews of these products.

Modern made slip joints are interesting and updated with improvements of modern materials and precision machine construction. That makes them in another class of knives. However, traditional style slip joints are a different class of knives.
I see most modern slip joints have thick blades and thick profiles with only a single blade. The cover materials are limited to made made materials and not as attractive or diverse as traditional ones are. None has any historic value with the exception of limited production runs of models.
I don’t see traditional knife collectors interests changing for these reasons. When I look at a multi-blade traditional knife, I see designs that are more complex with more diversity and attractive beauty.
Consider the cost and retained value later on is important to Knife Collectors. I wonder if modern slip joints will do well at this point too. Investing in a high cost knife is a gamble if you decide to buy another or sell one you already have. 🤫🙂
