I always really liked clank sections, it was an interesting gameplay shift. Plus, there are two clank sections in the entire game, one being a really short one on Endako, the end of which is in this vid, and one on Aranos which I think was really fun.

I like how this fits perfectly to the run that we see. Since the Planet Select at the end of the vid doesn't have Barlow, this means the player/runner specifically went out of their way to get this Clank segment done ASAP (skipping the Tractor Beam segment at Maktar Resort which would lead to the Barlow coordinates) in order to go back to earlier levels to speedrun with the Heli-Pack (either to get the Tractor Beam on Oozla and/or going through that segment of Maktar Resort to get to Barlow and pass through with Clank).

One thing that i'll really give CiT and ItN credit for is that the clank segments are way more interesting to go through on repeat playthroughs than the older games' were just by virtue of them being more engaging in their mechanics and structure.

I never liked clank sections but then again my first experience with them was in UYA where they were arguably the worst of the OG trilogy. Instead of having any interesting mechanics or thoughtful enemy/obstacle placement they are just full of swarms of small enemies and lasers and security drones that can kill you in one hit. And don't even get me started on when you have to make Skrunch cross gaps to activate bridges, that shit is so slow you could probably complete half a RAC 1 or 2 clank section by the time he gets across lmao
