I wasn’t around to see this happen but now knowing that Bo didn’t even step and turn is just spectacular. My dad showed me this clip when I was little kid and I thought it was awesome!

Reynolds was literally one foot away from the plate! I’d be stocked too!

After Reynolds passed 3rd, Darnell Coles (on-deck hitter) says, "SLIDE, HAROLD!! SLIIIIDEE!!!

REYNOLDS: "SLIDE? What the hell do you mean 'Slide?' "

Of course, then, the surprise came..😅😂😁😆🤣‼️

Agree.. The greatest throw from the outfield in MLB history.
This is not in any way to devalue some of the great throws.. BUT, do any of the other throws seem humanly impossible (literally, no exaggeration). You can’t wrap your mind around that throw.

My favorite part of this incredible play by Bo Jackson was the utter confusion after the play.

I think it was coach Jim Lefvebre coming out and literally questioning the umpire that what just happen can’t happen so my runner should be safe.

Bo literally created a glitch in the simulation that no one else could compute in the moment. We still have problems processing it today.

Bo Jackson may very well be the best athlete that’s ever lived.

I love hearing these “the WRATH of BO JACKSON” stories… whether it be Harold Reynolds or Dion Sanders 😂

80s baseball in those turf arenas was a totally different game than what baseball became after the new stadium builds in the 90s. Speed, slap hitters and baserunners were the way to win games

I was there! You can see me in the bright yellow shirt just above the left side of the White Sox pennant on the wall. June 5, 1989. That was insane.

The funny part of all this is Reynolds coming around 3rd and assuming that the game's over.

Unfortunately, Bob Boone (Royal catcher) ALSO thought the game was over, considering how fast Reynolds

So, Boone starts walking off the field, but then, looks up to take one final glance. He realizes, "Oh $@#%, the ball's coming!!!!" He then comes back to the plate, steps back, and tags Harold out.

Without a doubt, this has to be THE best play in mlb ⚾️

Harold was fast, not extremely fast, but well above average speed. The ONLY throw that gets him is Bo's legendary no-bounce toss.
