As an ex client technical specialist for new chemical plant builds, my technical specs run into hunders of specifications each a file on their own plus legal requirements.
We have a joke that you can't build the plant before the paperwork weight more than the plant.

Sounds like I may need at least 2 years of school just to go through the paper work, and tats just the maps to get through the building.

I guess this is why most yacht owners put up their yachts for sale as soon as they are finished. It appears that building a yacht feels too much like a second job. A second job I wouldn’t mind having though

Wouldn't the contract also specify at the least a contracted or guaranteed speed?
How much does a super yatch cost ? And what is a turn around time since placing order to yatch delivery?
I do understand that, cost would depend on the ship yard where it's built, the specs, size etc ? But just an average to know some figure ?
Secondly, Wouldn't the paint specifications and monitoring be done by a paint supervisor.
Af paint need to have soc for being tbt free.for all commercial ships, is that the case with yatchs too ?
What are the deliverables the ywrd have to demonstrate to owner and class ?
1. Speed
2. Is noise levels also a criteria
3. Hvac, is this measured ?

I would like to know as it's a field I'm very interested in.
