We had lagana bread with another traditional dish for clean Monday, a taramasalata salad.

In Chania, there are only a few traditional bakeries left making bread using a wood fired oven.

When we stopped at this traditional bakery, they were making a second batch of lagana bread as they were already out of bread at mid-day.
