Autonomous underwater / surface vehicle for the Turkish Navy

In line with the needs of the Turkish Naval Forces Command, 40 Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and Autonomous Surface Vehicles will be supplied by the Defense Industry Presidency (SSB).

Aiming to always equip its inventory with modern systems, the Turkish Navy is preparing to add autonomous underwater vehicles and autonomous surface vehicles to its inventory. According to the information obtained; Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) will supply 40 Autonomous Surface Vehicles and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles in line with the needs of the Turkish Naval Forces Command. Turkey in the field of autonomous unmanned vehicles; Studies carried out by companies such as Meteksan Defense , ASELSAN and HAVELSAN stand out. The ULAQ Armed Unmanned Marine Vehicle (SİDA) , developed by Meteksan Defense by a private shipyard based in Antalya , was launched in recent weeks. SİDA, which will be developed in various configurations over time, is planned to perform firing tests this year.

HAVELSAN, which is among the top 100 defense industry organizations in the world , recently exhibited the BARKAN Autonomous Unmanned Land Vehicle . HAVELSAN, which entered the field of autonomous systems with land and air platforms, continues its development activities for surface and underwater platforms. Autonomous platforms developed by HAVELSAN will also have a joint operation capability.
