Financing the green transition is one of the greatest challenges faced by the global community. In addition to technology, knowledge and skill sharing across borders, it is crucial to ensure a flow of capital, in particular towards developing economies – disproportionately affected by the consequences of climate change.
Even if the pledge to provide $100bn in climate finance to developing economies annually is met, mobilising additional capital is crucial, and the participation of the private sector is key to ensuring a successful green transition. At this event, Bellona Europa will convene experts to discuss how we can best mobilize finance to support the green transition.
