Once in my secondary school, I had a "special needs" friend, he was a great friend. One day, a popular girl was flirting with him. I obviously had a bad feeling of it all, so I dragged him away, not knowing she was actually being for real, a few years later, (about 9-10) I graduated with them both. I was scrolling through my phone one evening and I see a post, a post of a wedding picture, they both got married, I just hope their both happy.❤

I remember 7th grade, there was a kid that i wont name for obvious reasons, but he was a special needs kid. Almost everyday, everyone tricked him into saying horrible and inappropriate things, and girls would even act like they were his girlfriend. I remember one time when i was sitting with him at lunch and he was saying that a popular girl was his "girlfriend" but when he went to go talk to her, but she started bullying him and even knocked over some of the food he had on his plate, it broke my heart to see such things. The special needs kid was such a kind and forgiving kid, and even after the girl treated him badly he still gave her gifts occasionally, but it didn't help with the bullying she gave back in return.I remember the day i went to go talk to him, although it was hard to talk with him we still ended up becoming friends, we were such great friends to the point where he would say hi to me or even greet me in person, no matter the cost. We were best friends, but everyday most kids would tease or manipulate him, one kid even pushed him to the ground, i tried to help but the teacher would stop me from cutting in line. i had to just stand there, watching him get bullied, he was an amazing and caring kid. The kid never deserved to be made fun of or manipulated at all, but no matter what he always seemed happy. I know that deep inside he was suffering but didn't know how to express it. Hopefully he gets treated better for the years that come by.

I saw some kids in my PE class do this a few times. They would try and get the special needs kid over to them and then just run away. Almost everyone treated him like a plague. He didnt deserve it and I hope that they one day see that kid be successful while theyre begging for change to make it to their next flavorless meal.

I love the community we have for the special needs kid in our gym class at the start of every class he goes around giving high fives and a couple people always go over to sit with him once we’re playing we go out the way the give the ball to him and then coach him to score. I think it’s really sweet and he always says hi to him in the hallways. I think we’re like one big friend group because of this ❤❤❤

Had this friend back in junior year. Good guy, we'll call him Trey (not his real name), Trey had Down syndrome. He liked this girl and was devoted to being with her. They flirted back and forth for a few days, and eventually, he decided it was time to pop the big question. He asked if we'd go accompany him, which, of course, we did. We couldn't let our brother down. We made our way towards them, and he excitedly shot his shot. Her entire group errupts into a ball of laughter as she simply states, "I could never be with you." It broke Trey's poor heart. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending. After all the struggle, Trey successfully was able to get himself a real girlfriend by the end of the year. From that day on, every time we saw him, he was always smiling.

In my school, there are these popular girls in my phys ed class, and they always make fun of this one kid who doesn't run normal, and they laugh at him and take videos. It makes me so mad. There is also an autistic kid, who is not bad, but almost everyone in the school makes fun of him, purposely making him mad and getting him in trouble. People can be so mean 💔
