Thanks for reminding me that I need to find a playlist to learn about basic electrical stuff, after having some knowledge of electronics, but electrical stuff is still mandarin to me. 30 seconds in and i hear you say Multimeter.
That thing is a no go for electricians because of high input impedance. A mutlimeter will happily report all kinds of values just because you are measuring a pair of wires that runs next to another pair connected i.e. to a running tumbler.
You really want, for a lot of reasons, a tester with a 2k switchable load resistance.
