TRIP REPORT | Tap Air Portugal | Toronto - Lisbon | A321neo LR | Economy

Its been almost a year and 2 months since I last flew on an airplane and I can tell you that I wasn't disappointed flying TAP's new A321neo LR! Overall, the flight was pretty smooth and all my basic expectations for flying economy class were met! Obviously the experience wasn't too crazy or luxurious but it's been a pleasure flying on TAP Air Portugal! I hope to try their new business class product onboard the A321neo LR!

Great video. The beach is actually praia caparica

Absolutely loved the video! I was searching some reviews of A321NeoLR and this is one my favorites by far.
Reasons:
1) Economy seat! The real one, wich the large amount of people can afford to travel.
2) The video’s division with the moments so the viewer can skip to the part that interest him.
3) The quality of filming.
4) Your real impressions and comments based on your large traveller experience.

I spend this amount of time writing cause will be my 2nd fly ever in life soon. I have anxiety and see videos like this makes me feel more used to board and pass 6 hours in sky. So thank you.

It is not the beach of Aguda (it is located in the north of Portugal, 300 km from Lisbon) what you see when you land in Lisbon is the beach of Costa da Caparica, which is on the south side of Lisbon (on the other side of the Tagus river) and very used by those who live in this city.

Why TAP cannot compete with other big carriers? I tried british airways and service was rly bad, expensive and aircraft was old and noisy.

Every time I fly Tap (and also Aegean) I eat like a king. Beautiful trip report! Makes me look forward to flying Tap again next year out of Chicago :)

Great to see TAP flights with proper legroom. Their intercontinental flights can feel a bit crammed sometimes.

Minimum 8/10...In economy class, TAP on transatlantic flights does not lose more than one point compared to airlines from large countries. Not only because it is one of the safest companies in the world, in terms of prices on long-haul routes, but above all in terms of quality versus price. TAP only loses out to the big ones (KLM/AIR FRANCE; LUFTHANSA/SWISS; ETC...) In business class on long-haul flights, even then, it's just a little bit, it depends on the airline!Of course Air France has first class, as does Lufthansa, but only in that sense.In business class, TAP manages to be cheaper and better than most US companies and even most of its competitors in Europe.

Great video! I'm flying with tap from Montreal to lisbon next week, a321 neo. How does this digital boarding pass or 36 hr digital boarding work?

I flew this exact aircraft EWR-LIS back in June 2022, just 8 rows in front at the exit row. Nice flight overall, TAP does a pretty good job in my opinion, although we were also delayed about an hour because of weather. (My wife and I also watched King Richard on our flight!)
The exit row provided a lot of legroom as you might expect, but with the tray table coming out of the armrest, that somewhat limits width and "wiggle room'. I'm not huge but not tiny either, and frankly I think I might have preferred a non exit-row seat, sacrificing a few inches of legroom for hip and backside comfort. This is especially important when trying to get comfortable and sleep on an overnight flight across the pond!

As a Portuguese and former flight attendant at Tap Portugal, I'm glad to know that the flight
really pleased you.
It is true that the landings at dawn in Lisbon are absolutely fantastic and weather permitting
they are always smooth and short.
Your favorite airlines are apparently Air France and Lufthansa, but don't forget that in terms
of safety, Tap Portugal is the 5th in the world and the only European one, after Air New Zealand
Emirates Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Qatar Airways .
We may not have the fleets of other big companies but we always guarantee a good service on
board and the best safety with smooth flights and a friendly crew.
By the way, the beach you mentioned at 17:48 is not Aguda beach but the beaches of Costa de Caparica. The best known Aguda beach in Portugal is on the sea coast of Vila Nova de Gaia,
which happens to be the city where I was born.
It is beautiful and very famous for the quality of its fish and seafood.

Great video! I’m flying with them in 2 weeks. We’re they strict on carryon bag size?? I’ve been stressing out too much over this. Lol Did they make you put it in the bag sizer?? I have heard they are pretty strict and we’re making people who’s bag fit still check their bag because they had to force it into the sizer. 😟 Yours looks the same size as mine or just a tad bigger. Did you have any trouble with it? Thank you😊
