Love Directors supporting each other and taking inspiration and learning from each other. That's what everything is about.

The are not competitors, they are both film lovers and do their job the best they can, valuing the advice of each other.
I like that

Very gracious for Villeneuve to acknowledge Nolan’s talent as he’s no slouch behind the camera himself.

Having these two brilliant film makers bonding as friends instead of competing as enemies is gonna benefit all of us movie fans in the long run😄

They've been my two favorite directors for years and so finding out that they're best buds brings me so much joy.

I’ve always respected Nolan’s films but they always felt a bit at arms length to me. Memento, Prestige and Interstellar being the notable exceptions. But the talent is undeniable. Deni’s films, however, speak to me on a different level. Enemy, Sicario, BR2049, Dune— this man’s filmography. So awesome to have these guys enjoying success and being able to make the movies they want. Movies aren’t dead yet!

Denis showed Zhao Dune 1 early and how he used IMAX when she was making Eternals. These guys are so generous and supportive of their fellow artists

Nolan, Villenueve, Fincher, Anderson and Payne. Will always see them in theaters regardless. The same way in the 70’s you had Scorsese, Coppola, Spielberg, DePalma and Lucas.

Both share one humble composer, Hans Zimmer

It’s crazy to think that there is theaters in the world, places where you can compact the director of The Dark Knight showing his new picture to the director of Arrival and a lot of others fantastic filmmakers. Life is a gift

Denis and Chris sit upon a dual throne of modern cinematic supremacy

Although I bet Nolan was thinking 'HOLY SH*T' as he watched D2
