Haason Reddick ends holdout with Jets, will report to team Monday

After a long, drawn out, back-and-forth from both sides, the New York Jets and edge rusher Haason Reddick have agreed to rework his contract, CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones confirms. Reddick has settled on a re-worked deal that runs through the end of the 2024 season with eyes on a long-term deal in the future.

How the hell are you going to say "nobody wins"? The Jets obviously win here. Let's lay this out. Haason was due to make 14 mil and the Jets were going to sweeten that up with incentives to get him more money. Instead, the Jets have to pay him less, and now he has to give 100% effort the rest of the way for TWO reasons: one, because that's how he makes back his 12 million in fines, and two, because after this nonsense he pulled he has to be a top 5 pass rusher through the rest of the year for any GM around the league to even entertain bringing him in, knowing he'll hold out for a max contract in free agency. The Jets now have a well rested hungry veteran talented pass rusher who has to play well or else. That's winning. Stop trying to stump for Reddick, he's a scumbag.
