If gold became that plentiful after coming from that asteroid, the price of gold would probably drop down to the price of copper.. (it would not be a precious metal anymore)

Imagination: "Everyone on earth would be a billionaire if we mined this"
Reality: You would all be peasants, do all the development, work, risks and a few would hold all that wealth. 😂

am I detecting a shift away from the hot topic?
Nobody trusts NASA anymore after claiming to 'have lost' the technology to go back to the Moon, I mean comon

So they can mine gold in space but can’t locate the meteor trajectory and crash site from the Vegas incident? Hmmm ya ok 🤦‍♂️

It would make gold virtually worthless

Nice. I won’t be around to see this mining, but hopefully humanity keeps pushing the limits of exploration.

You people are off the hook. Doesn't seem cost effective

With our present technology, it would not be economically feasible to mine asteroids further away than Mars.

That will def drive up the price of goody unless we have a space elevator to bring it back.

People seem to forget you can’t eat gold.

NO IT IS NOT WORTH THAT MUCH the moment it is flooded all over the place ... Gold may drop to NEAR ZERO because of it ... everybody who studied economics KNOWS THIS!

Mining for rare metals is definitely the future. If technology is to continue to advance at a faster and faster pace the demand of rare metals will go up.

I thought it was an ancient relic.. 😂 I swear... I am SO alone. Knowledge does indeed come at a price.

It would probably be cheaper to find the end of the rainbow, and start digging.

Reality: It would an interesting stunt. But the costs of mining extraterrestrial sources far outweigh any possible returns. Any such venture in the using any technologies we're ĺikely to have in this century would be a hopeless money pit. 😎🖖

Who put Gold as such a valuable commodity ❓
Humans❗️The love of money, shows the insatiable greed with evil intentions ❗️
If “everyone” was a Billionaire, it would only change the low income guidelines! Consumers set the prices and value❗️🙏 There is no monetary value for anything when everyone has the same-thing. Money IS NOT THE answer.
What a sad place for the next generation 🙏
