After winning Time’s Person of the Year for 2021, the Tesla CEO gave an extremely based WSJ interview. Musk roasted Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda, decried the regulatory state stifling capitalism, called on Congress to “delete all subsidies,” and more. deficits aren't "pissing the money away" if the money actually goes to good things like infrastructure. growth cures debt. and government debt isn't that bad in the first place. public sector deficits = private sector surplus. where would you rather have that debt? in the private sector with higher interest rates or the government? you know that paying the debt doesn't destroy the money right? it goes into pensions, investments, etc. when the left is in power the right fearmonger to obstruct, then the right is in power they create huge deficits for giveaways to their rich donors and to maintain the justification for not spending money on things that are actually popular. the purpose of taxes is to control inflation and inequality not to "pay for things"

7:58, I don’t blame Musk and co for having exploited the existence of a government program to their advantage. As a corporation their primary goal was (and is) to make money. If the existence of a government program helps them there is no reason for them not to seize that opportunity. There’s a huge difference between a corporation and a libertarian think tank.
