Imagine the capabilities this will produce. Cell Towers and Mobile Networks will become a market that is in the hands of the people rather than a few regional monopolies.

First of all the private network owner needs a good 5G coverage, that is the key and the cost driver in case of big areas. On top he needs seperate frequencies like in Germany the 3, 7 Ghz. The 5G core in the AWS cloud is the chery on top, if the latency requirements can be meet.

Considering how telcos need to bid for spectrum and probably need to disclose how the cell network is setup to avoid clashing frequencies and interrupting critical mobile services. How do they entrust the end users to setup the network appropriately? Either way the concept is interesting, and probably already aimed at businesses that already engage a telco to setup mobile services. Such as mining sites.

On which 5g frequencies? Because in basically every country, the 5g frequencies are licensed and owned by mobile operators which paid millions for those licenses, so it's not possible that Aws can propose this service on those frequencies. It's not like WiFi which uses unlicensed frequencies 2.4 GHz and 5GHz... It's quite BS this video
