Boo was actually voiced by a 3 year old named Mary Gibbs, the crew said recording her was difficult at times because she wouldn’t stop running around the Pixar office.

John Goodman & Billy Crystal were the best dynamic duo in this movie, plus seeing the Monsters in the Monster World living lives like we do makes this movie interesting

13:03 Fun fact, this wasn't originally a forcefield! They actually blew up the restaurant, much like we were shown earlier in the movie for the sock! But this movie came out early 2002, and they decided to change it out of respect for 9/11. You can actually see the way Sully's fur is blown around as if there's still wind from the explosion. This also explains why Mikes girlfriend looked so insanely injured after this, as it doesn't really make a lot of sense otherwise! :)

Fun fact: the garbage scene is based on a Looney Tunes cartoon called "Feed the Kitty, " where Marc Anthony thinks that Pussyfoot turns into a cookie. Boo is named after her voice actress Mary Gibbs. She was a child in the movie

they actually recorded the voice actress for Boo running around the voice booth for her performance because it was too hard to get her to stay still. She did a great job for 5!
