20:25 The carb set-up made perfect sense knowing it’s a single cylinder dual carb into a common manifold. The second barrel acts like a secondary barrel on a Holley with vacuum secondaries. You get the crisp throttle response at low speed and mpg at low speed while also getting the flow and performance under full throttle when the engine demand can use it.

My rule is to not take a petcock all apart unless it's a last resort. Some parts for them are sometimes impossible to find.

I would have Superglued that Fairing before plastic weld, you wouldn't even see the crack as it was a clean break, it would prob last just as long just with the glue Joe, get Superglue and a can of Activator that sets the glue really quick, Neil from Wales ..

It's a shame Yamaha does not utilize the styling and paint cues from their 80s and 90s street bikes. The classic yellow/black and red/white paint combos really stood out from the competition and the body/fender lines were not as 'transformer' looking as current models.

Joe cut a Qtip in half put one half in a drill and put some brass polish on it and stick it in the seat and polish the inside of the needle seat. Works like a charm 🫶🏽

I don’t know but this gentleman has a relaxing voice and calm voice. I love his videos. Oh, and he’s a freaking damn good tech!

This one is worth a full restore. I remember these when they were new. Sort of Yamaha's version of the EX500. I bought a SECAII in 92'. I wish I had this one though. Full clean up and some engine paint. A bit of fiberglass and epoxy on the inside of the fairing and you wouldn't see that crack. I love this one. Very nice.

I really miss those older, big, fat needles and analog gauges!!! There's a certain "coolness" to or I'm just romanticizing the past because I'm older now and it brings me back!!!! Hahahahahaha. 😂😂😂 Nice find and great job Joe!!! Lots of content. I love it. Hopefully this means I will see you again here on Tuesday 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

$1, 500 still buys a great bike that is nimble, economical to operate, and fun. Here in Seattle the bikes for sale on Craigslist are way more expensive and the selection is very poor.

Man that's a gorgeous bike. There's something about the older Japanese bikes that really grew on me. I wanna get one some day 🤞

You should keep it Joe because one day the price might skyrocket, and it is a collection bike if I. We’re you I would most definitely keep it as a collectors item

i never have much luck with those petcock rebuild kits. i always replace the vacuum petcock with a manual one. never an issue after that.
