Let's Play Imperialism (again) - Phoenix rising - Episode 01

Imperialism is a glorious little strategy game of 1997 vintage set to the century from 1815 to World War I, covering much the same era as the Victoria games. The player is tasked with building up their nation's industry, army and navy, and secure a dominant position in the world.

Our first foray with this game had a start that was about as good as it could possibly get - so I'm starting a fresh game to see if the humble nation of Phoenix can rise from the ashes of industry and become something greater - or at least endure until the later stages of the game. As you'll see soon enough, the road there will be bumpy this time around.
