As a Japanese person I can tell you this is how the Yakuza came to existence. They are a post WWII gun mafia. US imposed the weapon law to take away all Japanese weapons, so the good Japanese people willingly did. But those that didn’t pooled together to become Yakuza.

Even though Yakuza don’t use guns or commit outlandish crimes in modern society, a large unspoken reason to why nothing is done to them when they do something is because they have guns to leverage. Yakuza are essentially a large finance empire these days except they have leverage other competitors don’t have, and one of them is guns.

America, if you take away guns then you will have HUGE domestic mafias that will dwarf the Japanese Yakuza, and will have significant leverage over police. Leftists will regret what they did to make this happen.

"What do we do about gun control?"

Usually work on grip and trigger press.

I live in Poland and we have extremely strict gun control laws. It's almost impossible to get a self-defense permit.
We're the only country in the EU that has the estimated amount of illegal guns higher than the legal ones.

Never let people who have 24 hour armed guards tell you that YOU don’t need guns!

The thought of only government, police and criminals having guns terrifies me!

Back when fatherless families were rare & mental institutions were in every county of every state, the US have very few mass shootings, despite a higher % of gun ownership. There was also a strong religious presence in the culture. I'm just connecting obvious dots.

These are actually "people control laws", not gun control. Never give up your 2A.

I ask this question many times to anti-gun zealots and politicians, why violent armed criminals support your anti-gun cause?

Thank you! For years I have said "What's the bigger crime: Owning an illegal item or murder? do you really think murderers care if they happen to get caught on a lesser charge after they get LIFE for murder?"
It's nice to see someone of high respect acknowledging the fact that the criminals won't care if a gun is illegal or not and will still obtain them.

The problem with conceding the point of "gun violence" is that it is an intentionally misleading data point. The actual question that should be asked is "what is the rate of violent crime".

I know how to fix this 'gun control' problem.
Raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is grown he wouldn't depart from it.
Or at least teach them the meaning of the word NO.

Gun ownership should be MANDATORY!

The problem with the whole “gun violence” argument is that proponents of gun control equate it with overall violence. The assumption implied is that “if we can get rid of the guns, we can get rid of the violence.” But the violence never goes away, it just changes form. Violent people will find a way to commit violence, with or without a gun.

Easy! Solve the crimes and put criminals behind the bars! No mercy!

Amazing to me how many people are too dense and closed minded to understand guns aren't going to just go away because they are illegal. Crime is all illegal but yet it flourishes. I just shake my head.

There is no such thing as “gun violence” as guns are inanimate. 😉

Good citizens with guns is who I would trust to defend my life more quickly and better when an active shooter comes to the premises.
