Maven, Thank you for that video. It came in very handy for me today! Even a year after you published it.

Hi Greg, Thanks for this video as I have been needing this functionality in M365 for a while now. It would really be nice to have more videos about the functionality available in the "Manage Site Features" area. Thanks for all the videos you do - they are very helpful!

Also to note, If more than 25 users have viewed the document / page, it only shows max 25 names.

Anyone knows if this is possible fetch from outside the view in the card. A popup card of who has seen a page/file is great and all, but for larger environments I might need a list of who that have seen what. Can I get the information from Graph? Can I use auditlogs and log analytics for this purpose?

Thanks for the video, its a real shame that this data is hided behind a UI . There are issues like if there are a lot of users, and you want to know when a document was viewed despite that data obviously being available. Also this data is not available for document while they are in the recycle bin. So if you have a situation where you have exposed information its impossible to see confirm if people have seen it without re-publishing it.

Thank you so much for showing this. However, I have many many files and I want to see viewers of each file. Is there a faster way for getting this information instead of clicking file property one by one? Thank you.

Going for a long shot asking this question, but sadly have not been able to find a clear answer anywhere else. If a user performs a search and the page or document is displayed in the search results as a thumbnail ... does that count as a view of the page / document? Would it show that the user "viewed" the document even though they might not have actually viewed the document, only had it listed in their search results as a thumbnail. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your content. I didn't know about this feature. It would be nice to be able to access this metadata through workflow also instead of just the UI. I do get customers asking about this, so now I am better equipped. Thank you

Thank you for sharing this!
Is there a way to show this in a new column? I would like to upload 200 photos and see which one is most viewed at first glance...

Thank you Maven! Is there a way to create a public share link for a file that requires the user to enter their email address to access it? I have clients that need a file but it would be nice to see who has downloaded it but not require a password. Note that these are people outside of my company/organization. thank you!

Great video! One question though:

Is there any way of viewing site/document visitors from more than 7 days?

I am in the situation of needing a list of doc viewers from the past month.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting this. Once you activate this option, is that info only available to site owners or can everybody see who viewed a doc/page?

Could the file log display an access without the file being truly opened?

Hi
How to know who downloaded a file from sharepoint via directed access to or via a shared link. Is there an audit log report for sharepoint

Hi Greg, this is very useful! Do you happen to know if there's a way to see all the viewers, not just the most recent 25 who viewed the document/page? Thank you!

Is there a way for the site/file viewers to only be visible by site owners? I would like to enable this setting, however, do not wish for all users to be able to see who accessed certain files or pages. I followed the second part of the guide on your website where you uncheck 'Let site owners choose to display the names of people who viewed files or pages in SharePoint' but now I cannot see the site viewers myself so it basically turned off the setting completely. Appreciate the help, thank you!
