Trade is usually win-win. I am not good at politician and not that major. But currently US and China economy are still complementary. If USA and China can dialogue and sign pact in the following areas, it can reduce deficits to very low level. Trump should try this way first.
1. Energy, USA already have developed to very advanced level, China needs myriad energy to sustain our development.
2. High tech, for example "China will need 7, 690 new airplanes by 2037", Boeing can sale hundreds of airplanes to China; also Apple, Google, Facebook, GM, GE, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Ford, and so many other companies can take advantage of China market.
3. Agriculture, China has 1.4 billion people, each day we need huge food related products. Rice and corn are our main products, but we need more and more other kinds of agricultural products. This is really a huge market.
4. Dual-usage product, which Congress banned but China has huge market. For example, black hawk helicopter and its engine, nuclear power plant and technology, aerospace technology.
