Simple phrase over a ‘IV - ivm - I’ cadence in the key of G Major:

Starts with the theme from Honeysuckle Rose (containing a ‘pivoted’ CMaj7 arpeggio). It voice leads into a C Coltrane Pentatonic pattern in 3rds implying C Melodic Minor over the ‘ivm’ (Cm6) tension. This then resolves to the tonic chord, G Major.

Might be cool to mention that it can also work over a 2-5-1 in Gmaj. The Cmaj being an extension of Am and the Cm6 being an altered extension of D7
