I’ll admit. I love getting kisses and cuddles from my mom, even as an adult. I used to have separation anxiety when I was going through aftermath of my trauma. But after years of self work, I know how to intertain myself when my mom isn’t here. And it feels good to have that independence.

I’m a psychotherapist, and what this mother’s behavior is teaching her son is that nowhere in the world is safe except when he is literally plastered all over his mother. Even his own home is only safe if he’s wound up around her in bed. Think about this, parents. Seriously.
