Honda C90 Cub - Motorcycle Review

Показать описание
The Honda Cub is a step-through motorcycle with a four-stroke, single cylinder engine. The model has been in continuous manufacture since 1958 with production exceeding 87 million by 2014. No other motor vehicle has been produced in such numbers.

This 1995 version differs slightly from the original design. It has – a CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) system, which reduces the maintenance required. By 2016 the model had been discontinued in Europe by vehicle emissions laws but variants of the Cub were still on sale in Asia.

A blue Honda Cub 90 was my first motorbike. I bought it about 30 years ago after I got my driving licence back following a drink drive ban. I needed transport for commuting to work, and it was all I could afford to insure at the time. I have learned my lesson the hard way. Although I came to motorcycling reluctantly, that little vehicle served me well for several years. I have had many motorbikes since, larger and more glamorous. But I will always have a soft spot for that Honda Cub 90.

Everybody loves the Cub... Reliable, cheap to run, great for nipping around on... What more does anyone need unless they're into long distance touring

Thanks for this.. mine is a 1983 C70 for the U.S. market, and it's pretty much indestructible.. I just read somewhere that the front forks were inspired by the Bambi movie, where Bambi comes screeching to a halt with his front legs splayed out in front of him! Incredible..

Great little video for a great little bike. I've ridden the 105cc version (CT110), for my work here in Australia, for almost 25 years. Great bikes almost indistructable. The new fuel injected model (NBC110) isn't anwhere near as robust. I wish it was.

I have a 2013 100cc Sym Symba which is a direct copy of the super cub. I use this for shopping and have experimented a bit with carry boxes... Many carry boxes are designed with a helmet or a pizza in mind, but a shopping box needs a sorting area to pack items of varying size.... I have removed the pillion seat and put a tall rectangular carry box on. The lid opens forward and is long enough to sit on the speedometer. The flipped over lid provides a good sorting area... For shorter boxes the seat can be lifted up to provide some underside support....A large carry box can cramp the riding position. To relieve this a little, the gear change lever will slide off the spline and can be refitted at a different angle...There is a bolt at the back of the lever that holds everything in place and it must be replaced from the same side as it came out, In this case I do a heel-heel gear change.
