The Bears slapped the Lions 28-13 the last time they played, and they almost beat them in the first game as well. Nearly a sweep last season. Put some respect on the Bears

I’m fine with tempered expectations, I just don’t like when people treat the new regime like regimes of old. Poles himself said he’s done looking at the past in comparison, and I agree. I’ll just wait for the season to start before making any predictions

Packer fan. Honestly I'm glad these division games will all be good for 3-4 years at least. Every team seems to be trying to hit right now. Super competitive so if we won we deserve it.

Do any of them know that the Bears almost swept the lions last season if it wasn't for a completely blown 3 minute period in the first game? They slapped them in the face 28-13 the last time they played on top of that. Put some respect on the Bears for once.

Bears got a whole different team now it’s hard to predict what’s going to happen but on paper the Bears have a lot to talent

Do any of these mfs ever predict teams to have breakout seasons before they happen? Why do they get paid?

Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco are actually the ones that ruined the first year expectations for rookie QBs.

They each took their teams to the playoffs in their first four years.

Joy mentions the Packers beating Dallas, but Carmen doesn't mention how the Bears beat Detroit 7 out of the 8 qtrs in 2 games. Had the Bears had a QB who wouldn't choke in the 4 qtr it would've been 8 out of 8 qtrs.

acho gone and now we have a consensus that makes sense for the bears

The bears beat Detroit once and was close to sweeping them. They literally did show you they can. And now their team is exponentially better at important positions

I’m a die hard Bears supporter. I’m telling you this team is built to win now. Full stop. Not making the playoffs is an absolute disgrace with this roster. We’ll be in divisional round. Look what we did with a lesser team and incompetence/ mediocrity at the QB position. 11 wins. Big trust

stop using the lions as talking points when it comes to the bears, one quarter away from the sweep last season with a quarterback yall did not think highly of

We take offense because your reason for us to temper expectations is because we are the Bears. We had 7 wins last year and lost at least 3 games that we were winning by multiple scores in the final minutes.
We added a bunch of pieces and lost nobody of note.
That isn't worth 2-3 more wins?
They only excuse that would make sense is that a rookie QB will have growing pains.
